Description:
Fenix computing and data services are separated into the traditional HPC and the newer public cloud environments. Hence, we also have two corresponding types of data storage: ACD and ARD. ACD stores the data that needs to be close to the computing resources so that the I/O can be efficiently read and write. And on the other hand, we have ARD for long-term storage that aims for scalability and reliability. In Fenix, we have Data Mover to move data from ACD to ARD within one site and Data Transfer Service to move data from ARD to ARD across sites.
