Fenix is presented during two talks at the Extreme Data workshop 2018 that takes place on 18 September 2018 in Jülich, Germany. Both presentations are held during Session 2: Extreme Data Technologies that takes place on Tuesday, 18 September at the Lecture Hall at building 16.15 (GRS building).

Sadaf Alam from CSCS talks about Fenix infrastructure at her talk “What is trending at large-scale experimental facilities for managing unprecedented data growth” at13:50-14:10, while Dirk Pleiter, Fenix technical coordinator, presents Fenix during his talk "Future I/O Architectures and Infrastructures for Extreme Scale Data Analytics" at 15:40-16:00. 

About the event

The Extreme Data workshop 2018 brings together scientists from different fields to discuss the challenges of extreme data demands, technology and services.The workshop focuses primarily on HPC-related extreme data. However, topics such as data integration and sharing between HPC and cloud systems are also covered. The full agenda can be found here.
