Fenix attracted a lot of attention at ICT 2018

  • Fenix gained a lot of visibility during the ICT 2018 Conference held in Vienna on 4-6 December 2018
  • The Human Brain Project booth attracted a great amount of visitors, many of them interested in the Fenix Infrastructure

 

From 4 to 6 December 2018, a new edition of the ICT 2018 Conference was celebrated in the Austrian capital. This research and innovation event focuses on the European Union’s priorities in the digital transformation of society and industry. It is also a networking opportunity for the people involved in this transformation to share their experience and vision of Europe in the digital age.

 

 

The Human Brain Project (HBP) had a booth in the exhibition area shared with the ICEI project, which featured the Fenix infrastructure. Anna Lührs and Anne Carstensen, from the ICEI project, where at the booth the whole conference to give information to the visitors about the e-infrastructure. In particular, they talked about the main resources and services that Fenix will provide to the users, the allocation mechanism for resources and the already available access to the e-infrastructure via PRACE.

The ICEI project also participated to the HBP networking session on December 5. It consisted in an interactive, speed dating-like session where HBP experts will be available for guests to learn more about HBP research topics and achievements. Dirk Pleiter, Technical Coordinator of the ICEI project, was one of the experts participating, being the representative of the project and the Fenix e-infrastructure.
