We are happy to celebrate one year of the Fenix webinar series this month, counting more than 200 attendees in total. Since October 2019, thanks to our speakers and participants, we have successfully run seven webinars and two online tutorials offering information and training on different aspects of the Fenix infrastructure.
Registration is free, so we always welcome anyone interested in leveraging their research projects via the Fenix services to participate. We have also made sure to record the sessions and make the corresponding recordings and presentation slides available for everyone to check on our Webinars page: https://fenix-ri.eu/media/webinars
At our first four webinars, we focused mainly on introducing the ICEI project as well as the computing and storage services of the Fenix infrastructure. During this first stage, we also organised a dedicated webinar to explain the different options and application process for accessing our services.
1st Fenix Research Infrastructure webinar: HPC and Cloud Infrastructure for Neuroscientists
2nd Fenix Research Infrastructure webinar: How to exploit ICEI scalable computing services
3rd Fenix Research Infrastructure webinar: Guidance on submitting applications
4th Fenix Research Infrastructure webinar: How to make best use of ICEI storage resources
In the second part of our webinar series, we aimed at explaining particular resources that are offered at the different sites that facilitate the Fenix services.
5th Fenix Research Infrastructure webinar: How to use ICEI's Virtual Machines for deploying platform services
6th Fenix Research Infrastructure webinar: Introduction to the JUSUF system at JSC
7th Fenix Research Infrastructure webinar: Introduction to the ICEI resources at CEA
We also hosted two online tutorials on the Virtual Machines service offered by Fenix. This type of training is hands-on and limited in terms of available places, but we plan to repeat it as it proved quite popular.
Our webinar series will continue with more online trainings and tutorials for interested people and potential users of the Fenix resources. Please feel free to make suggestions for topics of future webinars by contacting us through this form: https://fenix-ri.eu/contact-us
